You probably hear this phrase quite frequently coming from the sweet voices of youngest members of SMPC as toddlers through kindergarteners participate in the Sunday school music program! Each Sunday, these children have an opportunity to participate in developmentally appropriate musical activities such as singing, chanting, moving, and instrument playing during a portion of the Sunday school hour. The children also have a chance to share their music with the congregation during worship and to participate in “Music Workshops” with their families periodically throughout the year.
I am delighted to take part in the Music Ministry with you and your children! I feel called to share my experience as a preschool and elementary school teacher, having received my master’s degree in early childhood education, as well as my experience as a registered Music Together teacher, by developing this ministry with the guidance of both Kim Lee (Director of Children's Ministry) and Katie Buckley (Associate Pastor). We all look forward to the many unforeseeable possibilities this ministry will bring!
